The Indonesian currency is known as Rupiah or IDR. US$ 1 is equivalent to around 9,1000 IDR.
Prices
In comparison to some other top tourist spots, Bali is relatively cheaper. You can get a room at a 2 star hotel for just US$ 20.00 a night. There are some big hotel chains such as the FOUR SEASONS, and there too the prices are cheaper than in other parts of the world. There are many smaller hotels and home stays as well for the budget tourist.
Visa Regulations
People of the following countries do not need a Visa to visit Bali .
Chile , Macau , Morocco , Hong Kong , Malaysia , Brunei , Singapore , Thailand , Peru , Vietnam and Philippines .
Visa on arrival is available to the citizens of these countries.
Argentina, Australia, Holland, Hungary, India, Iran, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, People's Republic of China, Poland, Canada, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, UK, USA, Japan, France, Germany and a few others.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are widely accepted in Bali , except for some smaller shops and street vendors.
Electricity
Electricity is available at 220V 50Hz. All outlets match European standards. However to be on the safe side you should carry an adapter, particularly if you are traveling from Canada , US or from Europe .
